The postpone in appointing aides by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu since his inauguration on May 29th is allegedly because of his fastidious methodology in picking his team.

Only the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) have been announced at this time.

A week into Tinubu’s presidency, key aides and cabinet members remain unappointed, creating an atmosphere of anticipation in the Presidential Villa.

The President was anticipated to immediately name his spokespeople, SGF, Chief of Staff, and other cabinet ministers, according to observers.

President Tinubu has been actively leading the country’s affairs from his private residence, meeting with senior officials and foreign dignitaries, despite not having a complete team.

According to sources who spoke with NewTelegraph, the President is carefully reviewing the credentials of potential aides and will soon announce his team.

There have been frequent sightings of a number of people, including members of Tinubu’s campaign team, around the President, prompting speculation regarding their potential roles in his administration.

Some have previously moved forward as accepted representatives, with assumptions that one may be named Unique Counselor on Media and Exposure.

The Presidential Villa has been bustling with candidates pleading their cases for high-ranking positions in the 10th National Assembly ever since Tinubu took office.

An anonymous chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the President or Presidency not to select presiding officers for the 10th Assembly without taking into account the party’s national leadership.

“For those going to the Presidency, they should remember that the Presidency would go but the party would remain” the chieftain stated.

President Tinubu gave Nigerians a glimpse of his upcoming administration last Friday, making his first few appointments in a refreshing move.
