Darren Bent Voices Concerns Over Potential Departure of Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker, Darren Bent, has voiced his dismay at the prospect of Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe departing from the Emirates Stadium.

Bent highlighted the English midfielder’s pivotal role in bolstering manager Mikel Arteta’s position, attributing his performances as a source of joy for fans.

In a conversation on talkSPORT, Bent speculated that Arsenal might be contemplating selling Smith Rowe to address financial considerations. However, he also acknowledged the player’s potential desire for more consistent playing time as a contributing factor.

“Arteta was struggling and the two were brilliant. But you get 100% profit from Emile Smith Rowe. It would be sad to see him leave. As a young kid coming through, I loved watching him play for Arsenal, but again, if he is not going to get many opportunities, then he needs to play,” Bent remarked on talkSPORT.

With Smith Rowe’s future uncertain amid transfer speculations, Bent’s sentiments underscore the potential impact of the midfielder’s departure on Arsenal’s squad dynamics and fan sentiment.
