Labour Party Asserts It’s the Sole Platform for Peter Obi’s Victory in 2027 Presidential Election

The Labour Party, LP, has firmly declared itself as the exclusive pathway to securing victory for Peter Obi in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Ayo Olorunfemi, the National Vice Chairman of the party, reiterated this position during a recent interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, which was closely monitored by GISTLEGIT.

Following the 2023 election, where Peter Obi contested under the Labour Party’s banner, there have been internal pressures urging him to consider leaving amidst post-election turbulence. In response, Olorunfemi dismissed these calls as baseless, labeling them as “delusional.” He emphasized that true supporters of Obi, known as “Obidients,” staunchly advocate for his continued allegiance to the Labour Party.

Olorunfemi underscored the Labour Party’s foundation on social democracy, asserting that it aligns perfectly with Obi’s vision and capabilities to address Nigeria’s pressing issues, including economic revitalization and social equity. He confidently stated that the party remains steadfast in its preparations to position Obi as the nation’s leader come 2027.

Furthermore, Olorunfemi expressed optimism about the Labour Party’s resilience and unity under the leadership of Julius Abure. He expressed commitment to resolving internal conflicts and welcoming back disaffected factions, such as the Lamidi Apapa camp, in a bid to strengthen the party’s standing ahead of the next electoral cycle.
