The Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) has commenced recruitment for ad hoc staff ahead of the local government elections scheduled for September 21 in the state’s 27 LGAs.
ISIEC Chairman Chief Charles Ejiogu announced that the commission seeks to fill various critical positions, including Local Government Area Returning Officers, Supervisory Presiding Officers, Presiding Officers, and Assistant Presiding Officers.
Applicants must hold a first-degree certificate or Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution.
As the election date approaches, political activities are intensifying across the state, with aspirants declaring their candidacies for chairmanship and councillor positions.
