Actor Patrick Doyle Claims Satan Controls Entertainment Industry Amid Tems’ BET Award Controversy

Nigerian filmmaker Patrick Doyle has sparked controversy by claiming that the entertainment industry is controlled by Satan. Doyle made this assertion while responding to singer Tems’ recent win at the 2024 BET Awards.

GISTLEGIT reports that Tems, known for her secular music, surprisingly won the Best Gospel Award at the ceremony held at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. This unexpected win left many mainstream gospel musicians feeling betrayed and shocked.

Reacting to the situation in a Facebook post, Doyle expressed his sympathy for the gospel artists who felt slighted by Tems’ win. He cautioned them against seeking validation from the entertainment industry, which he described as being under satanic influence.

“I feel the pain of mainstream gospel artists who feel slighted that an evidently secular musician, Tems, was awarded for Best Gospel Song,” Doyle wrote. “That said, I believe it is about time that committed Christians should stop seeking validation from fickle institutions like the entertainment industry mafia, which by the way is in the grip of Satan.”
