ACF Chairman: Surmounting Nigeria’s Challenges in One Year Difficult

Mamman Mike Ousman (SAN), Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), acknowledged the challenges facing President Bola Tinubu’s administration and emphasized the difficulty of addressing them within one year. Speaking at the ACF’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Kaduna, Ousman recognized Tinubu’s efforts to address issues such as terrorism and banditry but stressed the limitations of a short timeframe. He highlighted the need for support from all stakeholders to contribute to the country’s development.

ACF’s Support for Tinubu’s Administration

Ousman expressed the ACF’s commitment to supporting Tinubu’s administration and acknowledged the milestones achieved so far. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the federal government and stakeholders from the 19 Northern states to address national challenges effectively. Additionally, he reiterated the ACF’s readiness to provide assistance whenever invited to contribute to Nigeria’s development.

State Police and Legislative Engagement

Regarding the issue of State Police, Ousman mentioned ongoing engagements with the House of Representatives to explore veritable resolutions and amendments. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of various groups in submitting thematic points to the National Assembly. Ousman emphasized the importance of considering diverse regional perspectives in addressing this critical issue.

NEC Meeting Objectives

The NEC meeting aimed to promote the interests of people in the 19 Northern states within the context of Nigerian sovereignty. Ousman underscored the importance of collective action and cooperation to advance the region’s welfare and contribute to national development.
