Atiku Abubakar: Tinubu Inherited a Nation in Disarray
Activist and political analyst Atiku Abubakar stated that President Bola Tinubu inherited a nation plagued by economic, political, and security challenges but is on the right track to address them.
During an interview on Arise Television’s News Day, Atiku Abubakar remarked that President Bola Tinubu assumed office amidst significant economic, political, and security turmoil. He commended Tinubu for making strides in addressing these issues, though he acknowledged that more work remains.
“The President, in my opinion, has done well. This is because he met a country in disarray, economically, politically and security-wise. But he has been able to put things in proper perspective, even though we expect him to do some more,” Abubakar stated.
He praised Tinubu for being a responsive leader who has taken several positive actions, noting, “His policies are well conceived but in the implementation, there are some things that should have been done differently.”
Abubakar expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting the President’s willingness to correct mistakes and adapt strategies. “The good thing is that the President is listening and anything that needs to be corrected will be corrected because he has shown capacity in leadership so far,” he concluded.
