Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi, has expressed his joy as Nottingham Forest successfully secured their Premier League survival for another season after a challenging campaign.
Nottingham Forest, under the guidance of Nuno Espirito Santo, secured their top-flight status for the second consecutive season, ensuring their survival with a crucial 2-1 victory against Burnley on the final day of the league.
Awoniyi took to social media to acknowledge the role of God in their success, expressing gratitude for a fruitful season. “After all is said and done, I’m who I am because of you (God). See you next season @premierleague,” he wrote on Facebook.
The forward extended his appreciation to Nottingham Forest supporters for their unwavering support throughout the season, acknowledging their crucial role in pushing the team forward. “Another year to remember again. You deserve it, Nottingham Forest. Thanks for your support always and for helping us to push through. You truly the best, You RED,” he added.
Awoniyi contributed significantly to Nottingham Forest’s campaign, registering six goals and three assists in 20 league appearances, highlighting his importance to the team’s success.
