Godwin Emefiele, the CBN’s suspended governor, was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to Gist legit, President Bola Tinubu suspended Emefiele as CBN governor on Friday evening, which resulted in his arrest.
Tinubu‘s order was contained in an explanation by the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey.
Following that, Emefiele was given the order to delegate office duties to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), who will serve as the acting Central Bank Governor until the investigations and necessary reforms are finished.
