Court sends skit maker ‘Trinity Guy’ to Agodi Prison
A family court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Tuesday, requested that a content creator Maruf Abdullahi, otherwise as “Trinity” be remanded in the Agodi Correctional Centre for purportedly physically taking advantage of a 10-year-old young lady.
Abdullahi, 31, was fined by Mrs. P. O. Adetuyibi, the magistrate; The child’s parents, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and Rofiat Ahmed, 29, should continue to be held in Agodi.
Adetuyibi concluded the matter until August 3, for notice.
According to reports, Abdullahi and the victim’s parents were charged by the police with conspiring to commit sexual abuse or exploitation.
Inspector Oluwakemi Arowosaye, the prosecution’s attorney, had previously told the court that Abdullahi, Ahmed, and Rofiat, Ahmed’s wife, had allegedly worked together to commit sexual abuse.
On December 17, 2022, Arowosaye stated that “Trinity” was accused of sexually abusing and exploiting a 10-year-old girl in the Kuola area of Ibadan.
The offense, the Police said, contravened the provisions of Section 35 (1) and was punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Right’s Law 2006.
She claimed that it also goes against the provisions of Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
