Danjuma Analyzes Nasarawa Amazons’ Defeat Against Bayelsa Queens

Christopher Danjuma, the head coach of Nasarawa Amazons, has attributed his team’s loss to Bayelsa Queens to a momentary loss of concentration during the match.

The Amazons suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Bayelsa Queens in a Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoff encounter on Monday, with Itimi Mercy Omokwo’s last-minute goal securing victory for Bayelsa Queens.

Reflecting on the match in a post-game interview, Danjuma acknowledged the loss but remained optimistic about his team’s prospects, emphasizing their commitment to fighting till the very end.

“In my assessment of the game, we lost due to a momentary loss of concentration, something that can happen to any team,” Danjuma remarked. “We all have our lapses, and we will continue to work on correcting them.”

Despite the setback, Danjuma reaffirmed Nasarawa Amazons’ determination to compete for the NWFL crown, highlighting their position in contention for the title with three games remaining in the playoffs.

Looking ahead, Nasarawa Amazons are gearing up to face Rivers Angels in their upcoming fixture scheduled for Wednesday as they aim to bounce back from their recent defeat and keep their championship aspirations alive.
