Governor Fubara Congratulates Sanusi on Reinstatement as Emir of Kano
Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has extended his best wishes to Muhammad Sanusi II on his reinstatement as the 14th Emir of Kano. Governor Fubara expressed his hope for a successful and fruitful reign that will bring progress and prosperity to the people of Kano State.
In a congratulatory message released on Thursday, Fubara praised Sanusi’s reinstatement, noting that it aligns with the wishes and aspirations of Kano’s residents. The governor highlighted Sanusi’s previous contributions as the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and expressed excitement over his return to the throne.
The statement, signed by Chief Press Secretary Nelson Chukwudi, coincided with Sanusi’s visit to Rivers State, where he was collaborating with the administration to enhance the state’s economic development. Fubara emphasized that Sanusi’s dethronement on March 9, 2020, was a significant injustice to the people who supported his leadership.
Governor Fubara commended the Kano State Government for addressing past wrongs and urged the citizens to fully support their reinstated Emir. He also encouraged Emir Sanusi, who is the spiritual leader of the Tijanniyah Sufi order in Nigeria, to lead with love, wisdom, and courage, promoting peace, justice, equity, and fairness in Kano.
“I wish the 14th Emir of Kano a successful and fruitful reign that will bring progress and prosperity to the people of the state,” Fubara concluded.
