“Her conduct has affected us negatively” – Brand calls out Hilda Baci, leaks evidence of breached N3m deal (Screenshots)
A brand has taken to social media to openly blame Nigerian chef Hilda Baci for breaching a N3 million agreement with them.
When a flyer for a N25,000 meet-and-greet with the chef went online a few days ago, Hilda became a trending topic on social media.
Be that as it may, Hilda immediately took to Twitter to deny any inclusion with the occasion. She tweeted, ““Hi everyone, this is to inform everyone that I’m not doing any meet and greet in Abuja. I would also never ask anyone to pay for such. 🙏🏾 Thanks.”
Now, the company that is organizing the event has come forward, claiming that they gave Hilda N3 million as an advance payment for participating in the event, which she had previously agreed to but then abruptly withdrew from.
After an advance payment was made to Hilda Baci, the event’s arrangements, including promotional materials, had been completed, according to a statement posted on their official Instagram page. Shockingly, Hilda freely denied having any earlier information on the occasion.
The company has taken legal action to address the issue because it asserts that Hilda’s actions have damaged their reputation.
The statement read,
“We regret to inform you that the highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place on 24th June 2023, has been canceled. We extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, you, our esteemed customers.
Arrangements for this event were already concluded, as both parties agreed to put out publications for the event, after an advanced payment was made to Miss Hilda Bassey. However, Hilda Bassey, suddenly denied publicly having any prior knowledge of the event.
Her conduct has negatively affected our reputation as a brand. Consequently, we are taking all necessary legal steps, towards ensuring that justice is seen to have been done in this matter. We understand that many of you have been looking forward to this event, and we share in your disappointment.
Our team has been working tirelessly to explore all possible alternatives to ensure the event could proceed as planned, but unfortunately, we have been left with no other viable options but to take the steps as enumerated herein.
We would like to express our gratitude for your continued patronage and understanding. We deeply value our relationship with each and every one of you, please accept our sincere apologies once again, and we hope to have the opportunity to entertain you with another remarkable event this summer. Thank you for your understanding.”
