In a shocking development, Chief Superintendent of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Abdullahi Abdulwahab Magaji, was discovered dead at his residence in Kano State.
NCS spokesperson Abdullahi Maiwada confirmed the incident in an exclusive telephone interview with Gistlegit on Monday.
Maiwada stated that the cause of Magaji’s death remains unclear and that the Nigeria Police Command in Kano is conducting an investigation.
“There is an officer confirmed dead at his residence. We are unsure if it was suicide or assassination,” Maiwada explained. “We must wait for the police investigation to provide answers.”
Amid the investigation, some reports suggest that Magaji might have shot himself.
