The reinstated Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has arrived at the Kano Government House. Sanusi is expected to officially receive his appointment letter and resume his role as the sole first-class Emir of the state.
Reports from GISTLEGIT indicate that Sanusi arrived in Kano late Thursday evening. Due to security concerns, a low-key homecoming reception was organized for him. This development sets the stage for the much-anticipated event marking Sanusi’s first public appearance since his reinstatement.
Sanusi’s schedule for the day includes attending a mini-durbar ceremony at the Africa House in the Kano Government House at 10 am. Following this, he will proceed to the Nassarawa Emir’s palace and then lead the jumu’at (Friday) prayers at the Kano Central Mosque located at the palace in Kofar Kudu.
