Revealed: Dembele’s ‘final words’ to Xavi before PSG move
Ousmane Dembele informed Xavi of his desire to join PSG because he wants to win trophies regularly there.
Sport have their own rendition of Dembele’s final words to the gaffer. He is reported to have told him: “if it were up to you, I would stay, mister. For you and for the fans, I would stay, but this is not the problem.”
Meanwhile, per AS’s Javi Miguel, the Frenchman also gave Xavi the reason behind his move and told the Barcelona manager: “I want to keep winning titles, but in a HEALTHIER environment. Here there are always people throwing s*** at me.”
While this is yet to be confirmed by either Xavi or the player, it could be an example of just how delusional the winger has become.
Barca have always defended Dembele from criticism, supported him during all his injuries and even brought him back after all the drama last year.
The Frenchman’s move is likely to be made official soon, and it remains to be seen how much success Dembele can achieve outside of Barca.
