Wike Assures He’s Focused on FCT Ministerial Duties Amid Rivers Crisis
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has affirmed that he remains undistracted by the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State. He made this statement on Friday while inspecting key projects slated for commissioning by President Bola Tinubu starting May 27, marking Tinubu’s one year in office.
Wike dismissed rumors suggesting he is not focusing on his duties as FCT minister due to the Rivers State crisis. He emphasized that the successful completion of numerous projects in the FCT is evidence of his unwavering focus.
“I am not distracted as FCT minister. If I’m distracted, you will not see all these projects in FCT,” Wike stated.
The former governor of Rivers State also announced that President Tinubu will be commissioning projects in the FCT over a period of nine days.
