“Y’all Must Be Joking” – Netizens Drags Grammy Organisers to filth for describing Wizkid, Rema as ‘up-and-coming artistes’

The Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammy Awards, is currently facing severe criticism from Nigerians who are ranting on social media.

Remember that the Grammy Awards added three new categories to their 2024 ceremony: Best African Music Performance, Best Pop Dance Recording, and Best Alternative Jazz Album.

The Academy recently posted photos of “up-and-coming black artists everyone should have on their radar” on their social media page.

Wizkid, a Nigerian afrobeat superstar, and Rema, a Mavin signee, made the list.

Some Nigerians did not like this, especially Wizkid’s fans, who thought it was disrespectful given the singer’s status as one of the most successful musicians in Africa.

They mocked the organizers for posting such an absurd post on social media.
