According to the PA news agency, Sheikh Jassim has made an improved fifth bid for Manchester United.

The club made the announcement in November that the board was looking at strategic options to boost the club’s growth, one of which was a full sale.

In February, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim both made public public confirmations of their initial bids, and it is believed that Sheikh Jassim made a fifth bid this week to acquire United.

Officials and staff inside Old Trafford are enthusiastic for lucidity over the takeover circumstance, which started in November 2022 when United reported that the board was investigating “vital other options” to improve the club’s development, with a full sale one choice being thought of.

During the first round in February, Sheikh Jassim was the first potential owner to publicly confirm a bid, Ratcliffe, the Manchester-born owner of INEOS followed soon after.

The first quarter of the year was at first perceived as a vital time in a cycle that has thundered on for a long time.

The soft deadline in February was followed by a second deadline in March for those who made it. Raine Group was brought in to oversee the sale, and on April 28, interested parties were asked to submit their third and final bid. Last month, Sheikh Jassim made a fourth bid.

Since the Glazers’ leveraged takeover of the club in 2005, they have been unpopular, and United fans have made it clear that they want a full buyout from the Glazers.
