The Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, due to an unpaid debt related to a G-Wagon purchase.
Portable was apprehended on Tuesday after allegedly refusing to settle the outstanding balance on a G-Wagon he bought from a car dealer. Reports indicate that Portable paid only N13 million for the vehicle, which is worth N27 million, leaving an unpaid balance of N14 million.
The car dealer, frustrated by the unpaid balance, reported the matter to the police, resulting in Portable’s arrest.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, stating, “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
