Angela Okorie Criticizes Zubby Michael for Publicizing Donation to Junior Pope’s Family
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has taken a swipe at her colleague, Zubby Michael, for broadcasting his monetary contribution to the family of the late actor Junior Pope.
A viral video captured the moment Zubby Michael presented a donation to Junior Pope’s widow, Jennifer Awele, and their children, drawing criticism from Okorie.
Expressing her disapproval, Okorie condemned Michael for showcasing his donation “on camera,” emphasizing that the burial of a young person is not an appropriate occasion to flaunt wealth.
In a post on her Instagram story, she rebuked Michael for what she deemed as inappropriate behavior, suggesting that he lacked discernment regarding when to display generosity and when to act with decorum.
Okorie’s remarks come in the wake of Junior Pope’s tragic demise on April 10, 2024, along with three others in a boat accident on the Anam River in Anambra State. The actor was laid to rest in his hometown of Ukehe in Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State, last Friday.
