When Nigerian Singer and songwriter, Davido picked Odumodu Black over Asake as his Headies’ Next Rated Choice, sparked online reactions.

Odumodu Black, whose song “Declan Rice” reached number one on Apple Music a few weeks ago and went viral, received support from Davido when he told him on FaceTime that he had won the Next Rated award.

In a video going round on Twitter Odumodu Black and Davido were on FaceTime, then, at that point, Davido asssured him that he would arise winner of the yearly Next Rated award organize by the Headies.
