Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido has made it clear that he has begun charging artists who want him to collaborate on their songs.
Davido stated in an interview with the Bootleg Kev show that his lawyers have drafted contracts in response to his revelation.
The creator of the hit song “Unavailable” stated that he now charges $100k (N46M) in addition to a video for being featured by artists he knows. He intimated that it very well may be more assuming the coordinated effort demand is from somebody who he is curious about.
As was to be expected, the video sparked a number of responses from internet users. While some applauded Davido for his latest decision, claiming that free access to him will decrease because he won’t be taken for granted, others noted that he is supposed to charge more due to his status and influence in the music industry.
