“I’m sitting on top of you” – Singer Burnaboy savage Davido following his controversial “New Cat” statement
Nigeria singer, Victor Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu widely known as Burnaboy replied Davido following his following his controversial “New Cat” statement.
A few days ago, DMW boss David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, claimed that Burnaboy is a newcomer to Afrobeats and, as a result, ranks among the likes of Mayorkun, Asake, Rema, and Fireboy.
During an interview about Afrobeats’ global recognition, Davido, the hitmaker behind “Unavailable,” made this clear.
Davido went on to say that he and Wizkid helped bring Afrobeats to the international stage and that he is happy that new artists like Burnaboy, Rema, Asake, and others are killing it.
Some people disagreed with Davido about the comment “New Cat,” while others agreed with Davido because they found a video in which Burnaboy plays a vixen in Davido’s song.
However, Burnaboy criticizes the singer after he recently made history by becoming the first African artist to perform in a UEFA Champions League final.
Sharing photo of himself with football legends Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and others, Burnaboy said he as of now sitting on top of Davido and other self-acclaimed enormous felines in the music industry.
Burnaboy wrote; “Sittin’ On Top Of The World 🚀.”
