Woli Arole, a well-known comedian, recently made the announcement on his social media accounts that he would be leading a pray-a-thon that would last 5000 hours in an effort to break the previous record for the longest prayer session in history.
He declared this through Instagram on Sunday, tagging the Guinness World Records, Lagos-based Minister Poju Oyemade, partner Woli Agba and others. He wrote, “PRAY – A – THON…….5000 hours……It is doable….Anticipate…..Guinness Book of Record”. when he shared a design for his 5000-hour pray-a-thon.
The comedian and cum actor’s announcement comes as the country has become overwhelmed by attempts to set world records.
After Hilda Baci’s yet-to-be-confirmed 100 hours of cooking in Lagos last month, Ekiti State chef Damilola Adeparusi is currently attempting to set a new world record.
Additionally, a chef from Ibadan reportedly announced that he would begin cooking for a record number of hours. There is a rumor that a baker from Ebonyi plans to bake for 140 hours.
Woli Arole, on the other hand, stated on Monday that the pray-a-thon he intends to organize will go “beyond setting a record.” The comedian star added that the prayer meeting’s date and location are set and referred to it as a revival.
