Arsenal transfer news: Ousmane Dembele to PSG impact as Thomas Partey U-turn made

French outlet RMC Sport have reported that Paris Saint-Germain are set to activate the release clause of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, which is said to stand at just €50million (£43million), a price that will double if not activated before the end of July.

Dembele joining the Ligue 1 giants may strangely enough have an impact on Arsenal ‘s transfer plans. Mikel Arteta’s side have been linked with two other Barcelona forwards in the form of Raphinha and Ferran Torres in recent times.

Considering the French international is already set to depart the Camp Nou, it now seems unlikely that the La Liga champions would also let another one of their best wingers leave this summer, a blow to the Gunners considering how few suitable wingers are currently on the market.

Thomas Partey U-Turn

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are unlikely to sell midfielder Thomas Partey unless they receive a huge offer from a potential buyer.

Speaking to his YouTube channel, via the Boot Room, Romano said: “I’m told that he returned to pre-season in very good shape and a good mentality and Mikel Arteta is very happy with his approach. The feeling is that it will only change with a big proposal, otherwise Arsenal are very happy to continue with Thomas Partey

“Arteta is very happy with the player and how he’s beginning this new season, so everything is under control with Arsenal and Thomas Partey.”

Kudus stance

Arsenal and Chelsea have been sent a major Mohammed Kudus transfer update by Ajax sporting director Sven Mislintat.

Both London clubs have been heavily linked with a move for the Ghana international in recent times but Mislintat has now claimed that he doesn’t expect an offer for the talented playmaker anytime soon.
